Unfinished Projects

I feel like I have a room full of unfinished projects, well actually, I do. Every time I find something to add to my week-end finds posts, I put them away in our second bedroom until I can get around to them.  I keep finding myself with too many unfinished projects.  So I've decided to start catching up and maybe not buy anything for a bit.  Let's see how long that lasts.  So I am going to start posting some of my newest projects. Many of these things are simple DIY fixes or a simple spray paint job.  Do you remember this week-end finds from last month.  I found this adorably shaped urn at Goodwill for $4.00.
I sanded it down a bit.  The tropical flowers were textured, ugh.

Some white spray paint.

This was such a simple fix. Sometimes I turn away from things at thrift stores because of the colors or patterns.  Always keep in mind that spray paint can fix anything.  I was contemplating a color, but I couldn't commit to anything right now.  Maybe later on.

I want to say a special thank you to Jordan at Military Spouse House for the

If you haven't stopped by her blog, do so, she is just the sweetest.

Also, my zebra fabric came in last night.  It's not a true match to the swatch online. I guess that's to be expected.  The white part is a very beige/linen/grey looking color.  I think it makes the zebra print a bit more subtle than I had thought it would be.  I will be working on my bench this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.

I not only have unfinished projects in my house, my mind is full of them :) I agree spray paint can be like a little can of magic!

I sometimes turn away from things in my thrifting adventures, that have bold patterns.... etc. Sometimes I think I rush myself so I don't give [myself] enough time to appreciate certain pieces and see the potential behind them.

Love how you transformed this urn. It looks so much better, brighter and refreshing! :)

Happy Friday

much better white! I am the same way, I have projects started everywhere. I sometimes have a hard time seeing the potential in things and leave them sit.
