Bathroom

As we are still working some things out for our family room (I want curtains and my husband is refusing), I figured I would start showing some other rooms in the house.  This is our hallway bathroom before we got our hands on it.
The dirty, dirty tile, public bathroom sink, metallic wallpaper, and mini blinds were just not going to work.  We ripped everything out and were left with this.

We gutted the bathroom ourselves, but hired a marble installer and plumber for the big work.  Our 1955 house did not come equipped with a master suite.  We have future plans for that, but that won't be for awhile. So this is the bathroom I use, and my husband uses our other one.  This is where it is today.

We love how it came out, the only issue with the bathroom is the lovely Kohler Purist sink.  If you turn on the water all they way, you get splashed which is not ideal for guests. Our plumber warned us that we were leaving too much space between the sink and the faucet, but we didn't listen. The vanity was custom made using the specifications from the Kohler one, saving us more than half the cost.  The shower curtain and rug are from West Elm and the towels and accessories are from TJ Maxx and Nordstroms Rack. Thanks!

I love the faucet on the wall.. very cool! Too bad it splashes but I wouldn't mind getting splashed on in there ;-)

Thats a great choice in vanity, the wall colors really create a nice juxtaposition.
